A.T.L.A.™ performs multiple operations on metal sheet, beams and pipes, such as cutting, press-bending and electro-welded and precision mechanical construction. Materials used are structural steel, stainless steel and aluminium alloys.

Laser cutting

A.T.L.A.™ employs high-tech CNC laser cutting systems and the latest high-power laser beam generators, which allow for sheet metal processing in thicknesses of up to 30 mm. The production services are available for small, medium and large series of semi finished products.

These processing centres are equipped with fully automated systems that operate at extremely fast speeds and ensure high-precision cutting, similar to that of machining. They are capable of processing regular geometric figures, as well as any computer based design (in .dxf or .dwg file format). The processing systems’ large work areas allow for the use of pieces of sheet metal of a up to 2000 mm in width and 6000 mm in length: it is therefore possible to process individual pieces in this large format.

The cutting quality is superb and it is even possible to include holes, slots and other small shapes; the holes can even be threaded.

HD Plasma cutting

A.T.L.A.™ is equipped with high-definition CNC plasma cutting systems for processing sheet metal in thicknesses ranging from 5 to 60 mm, for the production of small, medium and large series of semi finished products.

These systems are housed within vast work areas, which allow for the simultaneous processing of various large sheet metal formats of up to 3200 mm in width and 24000 mm in length. These units also provide for the possibility of carrying out details of large dimensions, including simple or complex geometric shapes, with the excellent precision required for the creation of large metallic structures.

The cutting quality is superb.

Torch cutting

A.T.L.A.™ makes use of large CNC multi-torch oxyfuel cutting systems which, through the use of our CAD-CAM centre’s programs, are capable of producing exceptional cuts in sheet steel. These systems have extremely large operating fields, up to 6000 x 24000 mm., which allow for the simultaneous production of large pieces, even in series.

They can be used to create regular geometric figures or any other design, in thicknesses ranging from a minimum of 8 mm to a maximum of 350 mm, all with excellent cutting quality.

Sheet metal crosscuts for welding

A.T.L.A.™ realizes perimeter sheet metal precision crosscuts with various technologies.

The technologies include:

  • Oxyfuel cutting for sheet metal in thicknesses ranging from 15 mm to 200 mm.
    The multi-flame CNC oxy-fuel cutting system is capable of performing inclined cuts on extremely thick pieces of sheet metal, but at fixed angles and orientations.
  • High definition plasma cutting for sheet metal in thicknesses ranging from 10 mm to 50 mm.
    A.T.L.A.™ employs an extremely advanced and versatile plasma cutting technology: the CNC “bevel” system is capable of performing vertical or inclined cuts, even at various angles, and allows for the execution of any type of figure.
  • Swarf removal with specific machines for sheet metal of thicknesses from 5 mm to 30 mm.
    These mechanical systems for creating chamfers and bevels allow for precise sheet metal processing, as well as bevelled edges of Total, Y, or X typologies, with various passes being performed during the processing.

These additional processes are convenient and are necessary to ensure quality welding in full compliance with the technical standards.


A.T.L.A.™ is equipped with CNC bending systems that allow for the high-precision cold forming of the sheet metal. The bending is performed using high power hydraulic systems of up to 630 tons.

For serial production, these bending systems are equipped with an innovative high-tech robotic system that allows for the processing of parts of up to 400 kg in weight and 6000 mm in length.

The systems are capable of handling sheet metal thicknesses from 1.5 to 12 mm., and lengths of up to 6200 mm.; the thicknesses can be increased up to 30 mm by reducing the length of the fold.


Over the years, A.T.L.A.™ has matured extensive experience in the construction of medium to large metal structures of processed metal sheet, pipes, beams and rolled profiles. Our carpentry departments are equipped with powerful lifting systems that allow the construction of structures of up to 25 tons.

Our welding department is equipped with a modern robotic line with precision, continuously controlled axis lathes that can manage metal structures of up to 15 metres long, 3 metres wide and 6 tons.

Our staff is highly qualified and experienced in welding in compliance with ISO 9001:2008.

Mechanical processing

A.T.L.A.™ is a supplier of diversely processed metal parts and components.

Processes include the drilling, milling and boring of medium to large pieces. These processes are performed in a new department equipped with three modern and reliable CNC centres of 3, 4 and 5 axes with work tables from 1000 mm to 2600 mm in length.

The department is equipped with the latest dimensional control systems.

Finishing and surface treatments

A.T.L.A.™ pays special attention to the finishing of its semi-finished products: our goal is to provide the customer with a “ready for use” product. The finishing processes include: the elimination of cutting burrs, grinding with power tools, as well as automatic polishing and tumbling processes.

Numerous surface treatments are available for the machined parts, even those of large sizes: metal blasting (Sa 2.5), protective primer application, electrolytic galvanizing, hot dip galvanizing and varnishing.
